how I feel

I have always been fascinated by the story of Anne Frank. Ever since I can remember, every time I picked up a book about one of the amazing people in our history I loved it, but the one person that interested me the most was Anne Frank. i don’t know why its not like i ever have had to hide or keep secrets i think it is the fact that i thought it was just so courageous that she and her family along with the others that were all afraid to death of what could happen to them if they were found out. But all 8 of them stayed and waited for that terrible occurrence to be over, sitting still knowing in the back of their mind that they will be able to feel and smell fresh air again, feel the grass and dirt between their toes, even if it meant that they were found out. They would be free again be able to run around and talk lout and laugh again. i cant ever remembering having that kind of hope, strength and self control. The thought of knowing that people went through this still, breaks my heart. But i think it would help if i helped Anne frank have a voice, or at least tell you what i thought she would say. i wish i could help the rest of her family along with the others in the secret annex, but unfortunately the things that were published about the rest of the survivors does not go into enough depth it does not really tell me what they were thinking and feeling at the time. so it makes it hard for me to tell you how I feel about their story.

how I felt

i honestly was obsessed with this book, the amount of times i have read this book is truly astonishing. I just could not put it down. One of the things that really stuck out to me was how mature she sounded in her writing at that age. Especially since she was only 13 at the time. sure she wrote about some childish things in the beginning but as it goes on you can really tell how much she matured through the year. Now I myself am only a year older that her when she passed away “15” so I can put it in a teenagers point of view.

she had some really good quotes in her diary such as

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”

“It’s really a wonder that I haven’t dropped all my ideals, because they seem so absurd and impossible to carry out.”

“Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy.”

in my opinion they are the most relatable quotes i have herd and read ever. i just love the love and romance part as well it is my favorite part, hers and Peter Schiff had was so pure and charming that i could just not get enough of it and when she kissed his cheek for the first time and when i read that he turned as red as a rose i squeaked. And when she went up there almost night to talk to him for hours or just sit and read and then when it was time to go and they kissed each other good night and they both got red every time i just thought that was so cute. Sorry for the spoiler for those who did not know.

the Relationships

hers and her mothers- Edith Frank

there relationship was not the smoothest, it was said in the book they often fought and Edith frank never had anything positive to say about Anne frank. Most things she wrote about her mother were words of anger, pain and sadness. And i do think that plays into Edith Franks lack of mothering. during the end of there lives they had drifted so far i don’t even know if they got much of a good bye.

hers and her fathers- Otto frank

they were very close, they always had been but there time in the secret annex made it grow stronger. he was her best supporter and he never put her down.Every time he was mentioned in the book it was written of happiness, joy and positivist. The end of there relation ship was strong and good i do believe by the end they had a good good bye.

hers and her sisters- Margot Frank

there relationship was like any sister sister duo they had there ups and down. Margot frank was shy and distant so if you left her alone she would feel as if you did not care about her as much as she did for you Anne frank once said in her dairy. she rarely wrote of Margot frank so when she did you know it would be good, but when she did it was hard to detect what emotion she was writing with most of the time it was conflicted or uncertain. but in the end there relationship was good they were together when Margot frank died of spotted typhus follies by Anne frank a month later. just 2 month before the camp was liberated. so i would hope they said there good byes before.

hers and August van Pels — Peters mother

They had a good relationship just like any normal adult and teenagers relationship. Anne frank used to hang out with August van pels room and talk about there day or peter, they did not end up being in the same camp as each other but they did end up dying the same way as Anne and Margot Frank.

hers and Hermann van Pels- peters father

it was more or less just a relationship they did never hang out one on one as she did with the others in the house. they never had a real good conversation to when Anne frank wrote it down.

hers and Prater van pels

they ended up falling in love. they hung out in the attic of the secret annex or in his room cuddling on his bed, they had never gone any further than just kisses and cuddles. They never made a relationship out of there love, at the end of there time together Anne frank had noticed that peter van pels wanted more love that Anne frank could give. But in the end they had a loving relationship that ended in being torn apart.

so in conclusion

This book is one of the best books ever written. it is so worth buying and if you regret it, which you wont, then tell me so I know another persons point of view. Now yes i know i hardly covered anything and maybe in the near future if more people want to see more work on this and I get comments on it then I will.
